What is declared value?
The declared value of a package represents our maximum liability in connection with the shipment of that package, including, but not limited to, any loss, damage, delay, or misdelivery relating to that shipment.
As the shipper, it’s your responsibility to prove any actual damages. Exposure to and risk of any loss in excess of the declared value is assumed by you.
Optional third-party insurance is available when creating a shipment through Navigators Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Hartford Insurance Company. This third-party insurance is not provided by FedEx, UPS or DHL.
