WooCommerce Live Shipping Rates at Checkout Integration<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Often referred to as \u201cLive Rates\u201d or \u201cLive Shipping Rates\u201d is the shipping rates customers see at checkout when adding items to their shopping cart. In order for your WooCommerce store to show third-party shipping rates at checkout (ie: your discounted shipping rates through ShipNerd) you must add our PlugIn to your store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Install our WooCommerce Shipping Plugin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Please integrate your WooCommerce store to ShipNerd directly through our website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Download our ShipNerd’s WooCommerce Shipping Plugin<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) Login to your WooCommerce store, and click on “Plugins”, and then “Add New Plugin”. You will then see an option to “Upload Plugin” which you will need to press . Select the downloaded file from ShipNerd, and click on “Activate Plugin”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4) Once installed, you will see ShipNerd’s plugin installed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(5) You can now enable this Plugin within ShipNerd. To activate, simply go to \u201cAccount Settings\u201d, scroll down to to \u201cIntegration Live Rates\u201d and toggle the setting to \u201con\u201d. Once enabled, you’ll be able to obtain your unique WooCommerce “Live Rate ID”, and API token from ShipNerd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head on back to your WooCommerce store, and click on WooCommerce -> Settings -> Shipping -> ShipNerd to input the Live Rates ID and API token obtained from ShipNerd:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once enabled, ShipNerd\u2019s WooCommerce shipping integration will enable you to show accurate<\/strong> discounted shipping rates to your customers at checkout (with estimated transit times) and hopefully improve conversions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll notice the word \u201caccurate\u201d in the sentence above\u2026 it\u2019s one thing to show shipping rates, but it\u2019s another to show accurate shipping rates. Couriers charge on the greater between actual weight (how much the product weighs) and dimensional weight (the size of the box that you\u2019re shipping). Streamlining Shipping with WooCommerce Live Rates<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from shipping rates, our WooCommerce Live Rates integration will also show your customers the estimated transit time for delivery. These estimates come directly from the courier based on your origin shipping address and the customer entered destination delivery address. Our integration allows you to disable the transit time estimator and simply show the courier name and service level if preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naturally there are other expenses that go into shipping such as packaging supplies, packaging materials, etc \u2014 all of which have a cost. This is why our WooCommerce shipping integration also allows you to add a margin to the cost of shipping you\u2019re showing at checkout. You\u2019ll be able to add a margin in either $ or % \u2013 and by service level. For example, you can choose to add a $5 (or 5%) margin to cover off the cost of boxes and packaging so that your customers pay a little more for ground shipping, but have a different margin for air shipping options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
